I Will

 

VERSE 1

When Jesus calls me, I will go;

I will! I will!

When it is best to answer “No,”

I will! I will!

I’ll shun temptation’s pathway wide,

And journey by my Savior’s side,

And in His peace and love abide.

I will! I will!

 

VERSE 2

When Jesus says, “Rejoice and sing,”

I will! I will!

A song of praise and love I’ll bring,

I will! I will!

A song of joy for triumphs won,

A song of rest when toil is done;

If I may cheer some lonely one,

I will! I will!

 

VERSE 3

I’ll answer when I hear His call,

“I will! I will!”

Should He command, “Give me thine all,”

I will! I will!

Whene’er for Christ I need to fight,

With gleaming sword and armor bright,

I’ll bravely battle for the right,

I will! I will!

 

VERSE 4

When in the conflict I should stay,

I will! I will!

I’ll ask for wisdom every day;

I will! I will!

We cannot know till we begin

How hard it is to conquer sin;

But by and by a crown I’ll win;
